Specialist sourcing
When the right component is difficult to find.
You know the part you need. When it is not on the usual stock lists, we find a supply route, compare what is available and see the order through to delivery.

The work
Confirm the requirement, then find the supply
Availability changes from week to week, so we confirm the details before we start searching.
We start with the details that determine the search:
- Exact part number, specification, revision or option code
- Quantity and required date
- Approved or excluded supply routes
- Whether your team will consider alternatives
We check manufacturer and distributor options, explain availability and keep you updated on lead times.

What we check
The details that decide whether a search succeeds
Confirming these at the start keeps the search focused on exactly what you need.
- One delivery or an agreed split across several deliveries
- Alternatives supplied only after your approval
- Lead times identified as confirmed or estimated, with changes passed on
Why relationships help
Long-standing contacts shorten the search
We have worked with manufacturers and distributors, including Dell, HP and Cisco, over many years. That means we usually know who to ask, and the person on the other end knows us. It does not create stock where there is none, but it does mean questions get answered properly and quickly.
Experience matters in the same way. Having sourced awkward parts before, we recognise which requests are routine, which need a different approach and which are worth planning stock around rather than repeating the same scramble.
Our search goes beyond our own stock. Where a requirement calls for specialist expertise, we bring the question to established contacts. During supply shortages, we’ll explore the available options and explain what is known about availability.
When sourcing becomes a supply arrangement
If the same component is needed repeatedly, sourcing it individually each time is the expensive option. For customers building systems for resale, we often agree to source ahead, hold an agreed quantity and release it in batches against the build schedule.
Quantities, storage and commercial arrangements are agreed for each requirement.
